Football superstar Romario announced his retirement on Friday that comes to be the end of two decades at the top of Brazil’s national sport.

Indian woman that was accused of being a witch was tied to a tree and beaten by mob members on live TV broadcast in India last Friday.
Villagers tied the “witch” to the tree after a man accused her of doing black magic and voodoo spells.

Nishant Tiwari who is a police official in northeastern India, said that a journalist who had filmed the beating met him Thursday to report about the incident, which took place in the village of Dumaria in central eastern part of the Bihar state.
“I was appalled at what I saw because people should be more socially responsible than to do this,” Tiwari said.

Six people were arrested by the police , including the man who admitted to hiring the witch’s services. They were forced to appear in front of a magistrate of Friday.
Ram Ayodhya, who could face up to seven years in prison for his role in the attack, told police he was justified in beating the woman, Tiwari said.

Ayodhya said he paid her to use magic spells and blessed prayers to enchance his wife’s health.The problem occurred when his wife’s condition has destabilized very fast, Ayodhya accused her of performing black magic spells and a crowd soon gathered and tied her to the tree.
